Point-in-Time Homeless Count
Our volunteers work to count the homeless population in Delray Beach in cooperation with Palm Beach County as part of the national homeless count mandated by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. It is completed every two years and required to qualify for state funds administered by the State Office on Homelessness. For more information and updates please visit www.hhapbc.org

National Homeless Persons’ Remembrance Day
http://nationalhomeless.org/about-us/projects/memorial-day/
Our partners and volunteers participate in this National Coalition for the Homeless remembrance of our homeless neighbors who passed away. This special Memorial Day takes place each year on the longest night of the year, the Winter Solstice. In Delray Beach, we recognize this day by reading the names of those who have died on the streets during the preceding year and offer comfort to their friends and families.
Year-Round Projects
Living Hungry Helping Delray Homeless Students
Imagine being homeless as a student in Delray Beach. Yet you get yourself to school every day. That’s the reality for roughly 92 students in the 11 Delray Beach Schools right now. Every Friday, these students are provided with Living Hungry’s Fuel Up Pack tucked away in their backpack with dignity to feed them through the weekend until they return to school. One homeless child or teen can be fed for just $8. Visit https://charity.gofundme.com/o/en/campaign/delray-beach-homeless-students to learn more.
