The Saint Vincent Ferrer Care Ministry President met a 78-year-old woman at the Caring Kitchen lunches. This woman had been living in her car for 2.5 years. It was obvious her health was suffering and her outcome if not placed in housing soon would surely mean death for her.
Taking this info back to the Care Ministry, the St. Vincent Ferrer Care Ministry helped her stay in a motel during her surgery, and while she was recuperating the ministry sought out an affordable apartment and helped her financially.
We are happy to report that she is in her (what we call) Penthouse Studio overlooking a lake. She says we have been a blessing to her, but truly she has been a huge blessing to us.
